Contract inclusive of mandate to manage and coordinate all necessary activities for the implementation of the envisaged intervention, namely:

• Surveys and studies
• Detailed project plans
• Technical project studies
• Construction contracts
• Negotiations on land availability (by acquisition / expropriation)
• Communications and environment awareness campaign
• Administration and financial management of the project’s vehicle company

Renewed public areas:   450,000 square metres

City parks:   250,000 square metres

Underground parking facilities:   45,000 square metres

Buildings (infrastructure / shopping / residential):   18,000 square metres

Cycling track extension / Mobile pedestrian bridge:   9,460 m

Executive Summary

Integrated urban and environmental renewal intervention with a strong environmental upgrading component aiming to enhance the quality of urban living and to enhance the role of the area’s structuring landmark features (the Lima River, and Atlantic waterfront, and the Santa Luzia Mount) and their interconnection with the city.
