Objectives
To compile a strategic framework study for Sintra’s Critical Urban Renewal and Rezoning Area (“ACRRU”), with a view to such plans becoming the Master Plan of Sintra’s Urban Rehabilitation Company (“SRU”) – the envisaged SRU Company is in the process of being incorporated.
Executive Summary
The strategic framework study to be compiled for Sintra’s critical urban renewal and rezoning area, which is being developed under close cooperation with the Sintra Town Council, shall set out operational action plans to regenerate and revitalise the territory involved in conformance to national and regional development guidelines, which guidelines, in turn, aim at enabling Sintra to play an increasingly focal role of relevance within the framework of the guidelines and plans set out in the provisions of the country’s New City Development Policy, and in conformance to strategic guidelines on territory enhancement under Portugal’s current National Strategic Framework of Reference (“QREN”).
