Producing the Strategic Framework Study.
Objectives
- To contribute to set out a clear definition of the strategic guidelines to be adopted by Viseu Novo within the context of materialising its objectives for the renewal and revitalisation of Viseu’s ACRRU;
- To identify prior requirements, constraining factors, and strengths characterising the territory;
- To define concepts and leveraging factors concerning the territory’s urban renewal and revitalisation process;
- To define homogeneous and operating units earmarked for renewal;
- To estimate costs and funding needs, and the intervention’s phasing program;
- To devise focal initiatives and actions to foster urban renewal;
- To identify ancillary requirements impacting on the intervention, namely raising awareness among public entities and the private sector and introducing incentives.
Executive Summary
Production of a Strategic Framework Study to support the renewal project envisaged for Viseu’s ACRRU, which encompasses the city’s Historical Centre.
